There are three process flows for rotational molds
Analyze the shape, size, and other requirements of the product, use professional software to design the mold structure, generate detailed 2D drawings, and annotate various technical parameters.
Select materials such as aluminum alloy or steel according to the requirements of mold use, inspect the quality of material hardness, microstructure, etc., calculate the cutting according to the design dimensions, and consider the machining allowance.
Remove excess materials through rough cutting and forging, leaving 0.5-1mm of precision machining allowance, and then use CNC equipment for precision machining to ensure accuracy and surface quality. Complex molds need to be welded and assembled, and finally drilled and tapped.
Inventory the materials and tools, check their conditions, and plan the site. Hoist and transport the main body of the mold for pre-installation, tighten the bolts diagonally, and adjust the clearance. Assemble the mold base on the platform according to the drawing, carry out positioning spot welding and then welding. Take measures to prevent deformation and conduct cleaning after welding. Finally, check the appearance dimensions of the mold and the mold base, conduct no-load and load tests, and optimize the performance
Polish and polish the surface with tools such as sandpaper to improve its smoothness, and then perform rust prevention treatment through electroplating and other methods.
After all the above steps, the mold is completed, the sample is started, qualified samples are produced, key dimensions are tested with measuring tools, appearance is visually checked, and sealing is tested by pressure test to ensure no over tolerance, no defects and no leakage
